Our days of love and laughter
Are now forever gone
They lay, concealed
In a layer of cobwebs and dust.
Past memories drift by you,
Many to faint to see,
Many too faded to recognize.
Everyday you forget a little more.
You've started to forget where you place things.
You can't even remember your grandson's name.
I know that there's nothing I can do to help you,
All I can do is sit and watch our lives fall apart.
Knowing everyday that you'll forget another friend
and cherished memory.
Who knows, maybe you'll even forget me...
