It was that special day
That i saw in you
And it was that special glow
That you had in your eyes
That i knew
You were different
From all the other guys
You were my friend
When we first started out
And after a long year
You became my soul mate
We went though it all
Tears and sorrow
Joy and laughter
But most of all
You made me want this one thing
That i thought i could do with out
And taught me the joy
That i could never learn on my own
You gave me this special gift
The gift of love
That i learned to give and get from you
And that is what became all of my whole life
The life that belongs to me and you
