When you feel so much all through?
Where do you begin

You spend your whole life
Searching to find that one.
Then it's done...
And there's none.
And if you do find him
And he finds you
And no one will approve...
What do you do?

By people who don't understand
How much you long to hold him
Or to have him hold your hand.

His arms around me,
His voice in my ear
And his hand upon my knee.
I close my eyes
And he's still there.
Smiling that quirky smile,
Stroking his golden hair.
Why can't I see him?
Be with him?
They don't understand
How much I need that man.
