Moving On Part 1 | 2
In the quiet moments of doubt
She remembers that he is not HIM
Not the man who broke her heart
Not the one who refused to accept
No, this beautiful man is her now
Yet she revisits the animosity
Stored away in dusty memories
Longing to seal them up forever
History has an astonishing hold
She refuses to let it adhere forever
And now she is moving away
Leaving adverse thoughts behind
Letting unfounded fears fall asunder
Here and now deserves a fresh start
With a man attracted to all that she is
Refusing to affirm further suspicion
Finally agreeing to be happy in love
Authentic feelings should flow freely
Her past is a part of her, not everything
His past and hers now together will be
